Stuart Pearce was on TalkSport today, where he used poor Conor Gallagher as example of how far Chelsea have fallen.
He compared it to the days where John Terry was captain. “This is Chelsea football club,” he said.
“When I see a club being captained by Conor Gallagher…” he trailed off.
We get what he means – it’s not Gallagher’s fault, and he will one day make a great captain. But if you want to win things, you can’t have a young players with a handful of games Champions League experience as your captain.
You can see the pundit speaking in the clip embedded here:
🔵 “This is Chelsea football club that’s had a captain and a stature like John Terry.”
😱 “I love the kid, but when I see the club being captained by Conor Gallagher…”
