One journalist has claimed that Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino would have been absolutely furious with one of his players after what they did in the defeat against Everton on Sunday afternoon.
To be honest, I’m sure he was probably quite annoyed with all of his players again after they went down in their second defeat in just four days after losing to Manchester United last Wednesday as well.
EXCLUSIVE! Will Chelsea sack Pochettino if they lose at the weekend?
Things are not looking great. But one thing that Pochettino has been trying to get on top of is some of the constant disciplinary issues that his players had been getting into, with Reece James and Conor Gallagher getting silly red cards of late, and the entire team being the highest yellow cards receivers in the league so far this season.
So when Mykhailo Mudryk got booked for kicking the ball away against Everton on Sunday, journalist Paul Brown claims the Blues boss would have been furious with the winger.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Brown said…
“He doesn’t look particularly happy at the moment and I’m pretty sure that Pochettino will have been absolutely furious with the booking he picked up, because about a week ago, he told us that he’d sat the squad down and showed them a video of all of the senseless yellow cards they’ve got this season. They’ve been top of the league for bookings for quite some time and Mudryk’s one in that game was for kicking the ball away which is exactly the kind of thing that Pochettino warned them all to stop doing. Mudryk clearly didn’t listen and I don’t think that will have gone down well with the manager. He was just beginning to find some form in recent weeks but he seems to be struggling a little bit again. I think it’ll be interesting to see whether he keeps his place or whether he loses it as a result of that stupid booking.”
