Chelsea target Nico Elvedi has a €10m release clause, German football insider Florian Plettenberg has just Tweeted.
The 27 year old is a stalwart for Borussia Monchengladbach but is apparently looking ready to move on, and has a set clause “in the range of €10m” that the Blues could exploit.

Moving for a player above 25 would be a real change for Chelsea’s transfer policy, but perhaps that’s a recognition that this current setup isn’t working.
The Blues were linked with the Swiss international earlier this week, and we don’t think it’s coincidence that this news has come out from Plettenberg now.
The good news is that is a very achievable clause. The bad news is that every other club in football will know about it, and if he’s as good as we think, there will be many more attractive options that mid-table mediocrity and utter organisational chaos at Chelsea on the table for him.
