Everton fans on social media directed their anger towards striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin after a wasteful performance in the 3-0 defeat to Wolves on Saturday afternoon.
The Toffees suffered defeat at the Molineux Stadium with Max Kilman, Matheus Cunha and Craig Dawson all on the scoresheet.
Everton have now lost four successive games in all competitions after losing to Fulham in the League Cup and Tottenham and Manchester City in the league.
The Merseyside club remain 17th in the table but could drop into the relegation zone if Luton Town win their remaining game in hand.
Everton managed nine shots against Wolves on Saturday but none were on target, leading fans to point the finger at Calvert-Lewin.
The 26-year-old has scored four goals in all competitions for Everton in 2023/24 – including three in the Premier League.
But he has now gone eight league games without scoring with his last goal coming in the 1-0 win over West Ham on October 29.
Sean Dyche chose to start Calvert-Lewin ahead of Beto, who arrived at Goodison Park from Udinese in the summer for a £25million fee.
Beto eventually replaced Calvert-Lewin in the 74th minute, but the Portuguese forward was unable to etch his name onto the scoresheet.
Everton fans on social media didn’t hold back in their assessment of Calvert-Lewin’s performance.
Everton are back in action on Thursday (4 January) when they face Crystal Palace in the third round of the FA Cup.
