good morning and happy friday!
Bowl Season in America is almost over.
For those unaware, Bowl Season is the time of year when all the college American football teams compete against an opponent in a “title game” where they lift a trophy at the end.
Most of these don’t matter. In fact, only three out of the dozens actually count for something.
Sometimes, though, a Bowl Game gives the American people what they want. This year, we were gifted a Pop Tarts mascot during the Pop-Tarts Bowl.
Those of you who watched may remember Kansas State defeat NC State 28-19. But no one cares.
Just look at this:
I still can’t get over the Pop-Tart Bowl.
The live Pop-Tart disappearing into a toaster while holding a sign that says “Dreams really do come true” only to get eaten by the winning team on the other end is pure marketing genius.

Yes, you watched that right. It’s a person dressed as a Pop Tart (frosted strawberry?) standing on top of a poster, holding a “Dreams Really Do Come True” sign.
It is then descended into the toaster where one presumes it was cooked. Then out comes a very large, actual frosted Pop Tart, which was promptly carved up by the KSU football team.
Wonderful. And terrifying.
