Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the media yesterday afternoon and in some embargoed quotes that came out late last night, the Argentine spoke about how he was expecting and hoping to have striker Nicolas Jackson in his squad for the game.
Pochettino discussed the possibility of putting Nicolas Jackson straight back into the starting lineup tonight:
“We are seeing [if it is possible]. Why can’t Jackson arrive and score the winning goal?”https://t.co/zBZ4oeiZkD

Jackson’s Senegal were knocked out of the AFCON earlier this week and the hope was that he would fly back to London in time to make the game.
However, it is not going to happen and Jackson has been ruled out of the game tonight due to not being allowed to fly home last night for some reason, which was the initial schedule.
As reported by @iamrahmanosman Senegal’s players were not allowed to travel last night which means Nicolas Jackson will not be available for Chelsea’s game against Liverpool tonight. Club had made arrangements for him to fly to Manchester, but it was taken out of his hands #cfc

It will certainly be a loss for Pochettino, who was clearly planning with Jackson at least in his squad tonight.
