One current Chelsea player is feeling frustrated after a tough time at the club recently.
That is at least according to the player’s father, who has been speaking out to the media today.
EXCLUSIVE! All the transfer deals, plans, and potential ins and outs that Chelsea HAVE been considering this window!
Enzo Fernandez arrived at Chelsea almost a year ago to the day and his signing was a very high profile one after a month-long saga with Benfica saw Chelsea finally get the deal done right on the final day of the window.
Blues fans celebrated Enzo’s arrival because they knew exactly the kind of player they were getting. But he arrived at the club during a turmoil period where results were poor and managers kept changing. And the this season has also been very inconsistent.
Enzo has shown his quality but also has felt the effects of the current situation at the club he is player for, and has also been inconsistent at times as a result.
His father, Don Raul, has spoken.
As cited by Esto, he said:
“He [Enzo Fernandez] feels a bit frustrated [at Chelsea] because he was always a winner, so going through these moments is not easy. I tell him to stay calm, don’t read social media, keep training and things will get better. So much so that they are going to play in the final of one of the cups in England against Liverpool. Chelsea are in a moment of transition, training with young players, but I tell them to be patient, things will get better. It’s a young team that needs to adapt. You are always supporting him from a distance, telling him these things, thinking positively. I tell him that the team is going to make it. One more year and he’ll be fine, they’ll be better.”
