Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has named one of the most consistent players at Chelsea right now.
In the last couple of seasons, Chelsea on the whole have lacked consistency and therefore lacked consistent players. So for me, there aren’t many that you can say have been consistent.
EXCLUSIVE! All the transfer deals, plans, and potential ins and outs that Chelsea HAVE been considering this window!
This season has seen improvements in that department though, and some players have certainly held their own in terms of performing well regularly.
Blues gaffer Pochettino though, believes that winger Raheem Sterling is one of those players who has been the most consistent at Chelsea right now.
Sterling has had some very good games, as well as some very bad ones. But Pochettino has been full of praise for the former Manchester City man in words picked up today on SPTC.
Pochettino calls the England international a good professional and says that he is always available. And I guess in a season where he has had so many of his players missing through injuries, this is a very important point and strength to have – availability.
On Sterling, the manager said:
“He deserves full credit, he’s really professional and I think this season he’s doing really well for us. Now he’s improving in his physical condition. When we arrived he struggled a little bit in some points but now he’s improving a lot and he’s doing really well. We are so happy with him in the way that he’s performing. He’s helping the team to perform and to win games.
“It’s always difficult be at the top [for so long] as one of the best offensive players in the Premier League.
“He is one of the most consistent players [at Chelsea] and is always available. It’s really good for us.”
