It was a tale of two halves for Chelsea last night.
The Blues were as bad as they’ve been all year in the first half – totally flat and lacking in energy or belief.
Things got a lot better after the break, and while it was ultimately pretty fortunate to score twice late on to win it, we probably just about deserved it. We will certainly have to do a lot better when we face Manchester City on Saturday evening.
The man of the match was obvious – Conor Gallagher stepped up twice against his old club to grab two crucial goals. He got an impressive 8.8 rating from Whoscored.
Close behind was Cole Palmer, whose two assists got him an 8.3 rating. Cole was actually pretty quiet for almost the whole game, slightly lost up front, but as always he made the actual concrete goal contributions that won us the game.
Joint third were Enzo Fernandez and Malo Gusto, who both had great second halves and saw their 7.9 ratings well earned.
