Andrey Santos arrives in Strasbourg today to take his medical and hopefully complete his loan to our affiliate club.
The midfielder made the switch in January, but has been away with Brazil’s Olympic Squad and thus hasn’t been able to actually step foot in his new country yet.
But the Selecao were knocked out in the second group stage of the tournament that they were expected to win, a loss to Paraguay putting them on the edge, before a late defeat to Argentina on Sunday night sealed their exit. Santos will be gutted – he is a key figure for this team and will have been dreaming of a place at the Olympics this summer.
Andrey Santos will arrive in Strasbourg today following his involvement with Brazil for his medical tests which will see the completion of his loan move from #Chelsea.

Still, playing so many minutes for them in the last few weeks means he should be at peak sharpness and ready to step right into Patrick Vieira’s team in Ligue 1, so there is some consolation. Transfermarkt value him at just €14m now, and Chelsea will be hoping to boost that in a short spell.
