Micah Richards made an interesting point on the post-match coverage of our draw with Man City at the weekend. He had noticed we play better against the top teams.
“[Chelsea] look at their best when they keep their shape and then they explode with pace on the counter attack… there’s no harm in that, it suits them well.”
It’s certainly something that’s reflected in the results. We’re going great when he play smaller teams and struggling against the smaller teams where we’re on the front foot and have to make things happen.
Well, that bodes well for this weekend’s Carabao Cup final at least…
