Thiago Silva has revealed he would pick John Terry if he could choose one Premier league legend to be his centre back partner.
Silva, 39, is coming to the end of his career and is expected to leave Chelsea at the end of the season when his contract expires having joined on a free transfer from PSG in the summer of 2020.
The Brazilian has become a fan favourite during his time at Stamford Bridge with fans chanting his name at every game.
His time at Chelsea has been a success with him winning the Champions League, Uefa Super Cup and Club World Cup to date.
Speaking to the Premier League’s official website Silva was asked if he could pick one Premier League legend to be his defensive partner who would it be?
He responded: ” I’ll go with John Terry since I am at Chelsea, we have a great relationship.”
“There is always a good vibe every time I see him and he’s a legend for the club and English football.”
Silva has featured regularly for Chelsea this season making 29 appearances in all competitions and scoring three goals.
During his time in west London Silva has so far made 146 appearances for the Blues scoring eight goals and providing four assists.
The former PSG man is facing a race to be fit for the Carabao Cup final having picked up an injury in the 3-1 win at Crystal Palace with reports giving him a chance of possibly making the bench.
The Brazilian international will be desperate to win at Wembley having lost his previous two finals there.
