One Chelsea player has admitted that he has never spoken to Blues legend Didier Drogba and that he would very much like to communicate with him going forward.
Drogba still has a huge influence over many current, previous, and potentially future Chelsea players and not only has he become a legend of Chelsea, but also a legend of the game. He is universally adored and admired by football fans, pundits, and players alike.
EXCLUSIVE! What Chelsea’s new recruitment expert will actually be doing at the club and the players he has already scouted (one is on Chelsea’s radar for the summer already).
Nicolas Jackson now wears the number 15 at Chelsea, which was the same number that Drogba once sported at the club. But just like when Drogba first arrived at Chelsea, things have now been plain sailing for Jackson so far.
He’s got some goals, but he’s also missed some big chances and has not really hit the ground running until recent matches. The signs are there though of a very good player developing, and maybe a chat with Drogba could help that kick on even more?
Jackson told talkSPORT: “It would be amazing because he was a legend and I was watching him since I was young. But we never talk because he is from Cote d’Ivoire and I am from Senegal.
“It’s not like Demba Ba. I’ve spoken to him because he played for Chelsea before and he’s Senegalese. But Didier, we never talk. I hope to see him one day so he can give me advice to be like him.”
