Cole Palmer has won the “Young Footballer of the Year” at the 2024 London Football awards.
Meanwhile Aggie Beevor-Jones has won the women’s equivalent.
For Cole it feels like the first prize of many to come in the next few months. He’ll likely win the Chelsea players player of the year, perhaps the fans player of the year, and if he keeps rattling them in in the league, may even make himself the Premier League young player of the year.

Most people would agree he’s been one of the signings of the season, that’s for sure. £45m (ESPN) looks a bargain, even after less than a season.

Let’s hope that he ends up winning some team trophies in his time here as well as individual awards. He did his best against Liverpool, and will need to keep up his form in the FA Cup too.
