Chelsea’s back four against Newcastle on Monday were playing their first game together, and after the game Axel Disasi was asked if that made things difficult. He denied it.
He explained that their training sessions together in the week before had helped them, and while they did concede two goals, their overall structure looked pretty solid.
This could be the first choice 4 for the foreseeable future, with Levi Colwill and Ben Chilwell out, so let’s hope they gel fast. They have until Sunday to tighten up.
