Chelsea are taking a close look at a shortlist of at least three new defender names as they look at a potential reshuffle at the back.
The club are expected to be quite busy again in the market when this season ends this summer, with outgoings going to be the immediate priority.

There are question marks over quite a few names right now, and players like Marc Cucurella might have a short future at the club with some doubts creeping in. We’d expect him to be one of the players Chelsea might listen to offers for this summer.
This means they will need a replacement, and according to our own writer Simon Phillips via his own personal exclusive Substack site, they have already drawn up a priority shortlist for left backs.
Phillips has actually named three NEW targets being looked at by the club, and also posted on X about them yesterday.
