Raheem Sterling had yet another penalty mix up today.
He appeared to take the ball from Cole Palmer – following a similar incident earlier in the season – then proceeded to hit the tamest effort you’ll see.
Asked after the game, Mauricio Pochettino gave a different version, saying Palmer had actively given the ball to Sterling.
Hmm.
Either way, is Palmer is the taker he should be taking them. All this messing around is utterly embarrassing. It reflects terribly on the coach too. He can be fun and easy going if he wants, but there are standards needed.
