Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a huge blow over the weekend as left-back Destiny Udogie announced his season was over after receiving surgery.
The 21-year-old left-back has been a main staple in his his first year in north London as he has become a star under Ange Postecoglou and quite frankly one of the best left-backs in the league and the world.
But, the young Italian’s season has come to an end as he announced on his Instagram page that he received an operation and will miss the rest of the season.
A star in his first year in the Premier League, Udogie started all 28 games he appeared in as he tallied two goals and three assists in his debut season. Udogie finished 19th in the league with 68 tackles and his presence will be missed on both ends of the pitch.
It is presumed that Ben Davies will take over the role of left back for the remainder of the season as Spurs continue its push to reach the 4th and presumably final spot for UCL qualification.
