Leeds United defender Leo Hjelde has completed a permanent move to fellow Championship side Sunderland.
The Athletic reported on Monday that Sunderland had agreed a deal to sign the 20-year-old.
Liam Cooper, meanwhile, has been told he will not be leaving Leeds this transfer window. There was interest in the centre-back earlier this month, including from Blackburn Rovers, but Leeds told him last week that he will be staying.
Hjelde joined Leeds from Celtic in the summer of 2021, initially linking up with the Under-21 side, but only made eight appearances in total for the Elland Road club.
The Norwegian has found game time hard to come by this season, making only three appearances in all competitions with only of those coming in the Championship.
Hjelde spent the second half of the 2022-23 season on loan at Rotherham United, making 13 appearances for the club.
