So what now? Every coach under the sun has already rejected Bayern Munich, but somebody has to replace Thomas Tuchel next season.
According to a report from Sport Bild, the Bavarians are revisiting the Premier League pool…but it does not sound like there is any concrete option at the moment. Let’s dive in.
From @iMiaSanMia:
The trail in Bayern’s coaching search currently leads to the Premier League. After numerous discussions and rejections, the people in charge are now looking again in England. Bayern had already looked into several candidates from the Premier League (de Zerbi, Glasner, Emery), but deals fell through for different reasons. The name of Newcastle coach Eddie Howe was mentioned in internal discussions, but he’s currently no longer a candidate. The search is now more about finding a solution that all bosses are convinced of rather than about a big name [@BILD]
No big names, then. Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg confirmed and it sounds like it is more about who will not become the next coach than who will:
The clear trail in Bayern’s search for a coach leads to the Premier League at the moment. There are talks ongoing with a small list of candidates.
Zidane, Flick, ten Hag, Glasner, Mourinho are not candidates

So…Bayern has nobody, really? And no idea what kind of coach to get?
That is sure what it sounds like — another list of names of people who aren’t actually candidates for the job.
Agreement among all of the many stakeholders at Säbener Straße has seemed to be an issue this entire saga. So it would sure be good if the bosses try to get on the same page before offering the next guy.
Time is running out before transfer season starts at this point.
