Bayern Munich’s Paul Wanner left the club on loan to join SV Elversberg, who were newly promoted to the 2. Bundesliga. After a series of brilliant performances for the club, Wanner has attracted a lot of interest from all over Europe and will return to Bayern, likely to go back out on loan.
Earlier reports suggested that the young German could be loaned out to a Bundesliga club this time around, but a new report from Sky’s Florian Plettenberg suggests a new possibility:
Paul Wanner is on PSV’s list. Bayern have received several inquiries for the player, who is set to go out on another loan this summer (via @iMiaSanMia)
Wanner’s stint at Elversberg was very impressive, as he scored six goals (second most for Elversberg) as the club moved to secure a respectable mid-table finish.
The 18-year-old has earned himself the opportunity to play top-level football regularly over a season and PSV seems like the perfect opportunity for Wanner’s development.
