Aleksandar Pavlović has burst onto the scene for Bayern Munich this season and has done extremely well. He has exceeded expectations and might yet become a star midfielder for the Bavarians — and helping him every step of the way has been teammate Leon Goretzka.
“I have a great relationship with Leon. I get along very well with him. I enjoy playing with him. He helped me a lot from the start,” Pavlović said in a recent Sport Bild interview (via @iMiaSanMia
Pavlović has shown his own maturity, coming up from Bayern II and adapting to the Bundesliga quite quickly. Now Goretzka, the veteran, will not be going to the EUROs while Pavlović is a part of Julian Nagelsmann’s provisional Germany squad.
It is no surprise to hear Pavlović speak so highly of Goretzka. Goretzka has been a very important player for Bayern since his move from Schalke in 2018. Now, at 29-years-old, he is leading future generations of Bayern players as they adjust to the first team.
