After being loaned out by Bayern Munich to SV Elversberg, Paul Wanner could join Borussia Mönchengladbach on another loan. Per Florian Plettenburg on X, Borussia could face some competition from other clubs interested in the 18-year-old central midfielder. Borussia, however, have already made an inquiry about Wanner, and Bayern are interested in loaning him out again.
Wanner is returning from his stint at Elversburg this summer, but looking at the way things are going right now, the German youngster could be loaned out again immediately. However, Wanner could also add to Die Roten’s depth in the midfield. Bayern are looking to expand their roster and are currently looking at young midfielders to fill up the gaps. Malick Junior from IFK Göteborg, Désiré Doué from Rennes, and Dani Olmo of RB Leipzig are among the potential players Bayern may sign. Instead of signing new players that they are probably going to have to loan out anyway, the club could simply keep Wanner at home. Now that he’s developed his game and spent a season away as a regular starter, Paul could become the next youngster that Bayern shapes its game around. Lovro Zvonarek and Aleksandar Pavlović are showing the quality that the FC Bayern Campus pushes out, and Wanner being just as good isn’t old news.
Should Paul Wanner be loaned out again? Could he use the experience in the top flight or should he return home? Let us know in the comments!
