Is Bayern Munich contemplating a surprise move for Leeds United star Archie Gray?
Just a few weeks ago, Bayern Munich was linked to Gray, but those rumors were quickly shot down. According to a report from HITC, though, Bayern Munich is among several clubs eyeing Gray, a central midfielder who can also play right-back, to be a part of its squad for the 2024/25 campaign:
HITC understands Bayern Munich are ready to try their luck with the signing of the one of the EFL Championship’s breakout stars this summer. Burnley boss Vincent Kompany is closing in on a sensational move to Bayern Munich following the German side parting ways with former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.
With the appointment of Kompany, who took Burnley back into the Premier League from the Championship, it seems as though the German giants are keen on raiding one side from the second tier this summer.
It is our understanding that Bayern are ready to test the resolve of the Yorkshire club about keeping hold of the talented midfielder this summer, who has made a big impact at Elland Road. HITC revealed earlier in the year that the German giants were already keeping close tabs on Gray, who is considered one of the best young prospects in English football.
Bayern Munich is not the only club keeping a close eye on Gray, though, as Liverpool FC, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Arsenal FC are all also watching Gray’s movements:
It is not just Bayern who are understood to be keen on the talented teenage midfielder but HITC can reveal that Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are also keen.
Could this be the first big move for Bayern Munich in this new Vincent Kompany-fueled era?
The time they are a changin’ at Bayern Munich. Vincent Kompany looks like he is taking over in Bavaria, while the club’s former favorite son — Hansi Flick — is heading to FC Barcelona. Which one will make out better with their new club? We’ll find out, but in the meantime, there could also be some Bayern players who are on Flick’s transfer radar, too. basically, we’ve got a lot to talk about with all of that, plus some appreciation for Bayer Leverkusen’s incredible season.
