After weeks of speculation, former Bayern Munich and German national team coach Hansi Flick has officially been named manager at FC Barcelona.
The move has been expected for days, with just minor formalities needing to be wrapped up. Flick was under consideration for Bayern Munich’s job opening, but — per reports — was passed over by Max Eberl in favor of Vincent Kompany:
