Bayern Munich star Thomas Müller has a keen eye for identifying top talent and one player who he is very fond of is Mainz 05 attacker Brajan Gruda.
After a match earlier this season, Müller swapped jerseys with Gruda and there was a good reason for that — the vertan thinks Gruda has a massive future ahead of him.
“When you watch him, you see that he has something special. It’s about consistency for him now. That’s why I got his jersey back then and made it public. I thought he was remarkably good,” Müller said during a press conference for the German national team (as captured by Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg).
Gruda has been a training player for Germany this week and, along with Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Rocco Reitz, will stick around to help the senior team per a release from the DFB (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):
Brajan Gruda and Rocco Reitz will stay with the national team longer than initially planned. Both will be there until June 7 and will be in the squad for the test matches against Ukraine and Greece.
Gruda has already been linked to Bayern Munich and seems to be just the kind of winger the club could be looking at this summer. Maybe Agent Müller will work his magic over the next few weeks and help push a deal over the line…
