It has been only two weeks since the season got over, but it looks like Bayern Munich’s resident Canadian Alphonso Davies is already back to work.
Davies is currently training in Dubai under a personal coach along with a group of other footballers from Europe. The coach, Coach Nic, is a known personal trainer who has trained multiple professional footballers under his fitness program in Dubai. The likes of Alexander Isak, William Saliba, and Jesse Lingard have trained under Coach Nic, and it looks like Davies will be joining those ranks.
He was pictured training hard on a pitch in Dubai (I couldn’t figure out where, and trust me I looked everywhere here), and Bayern should be happy about that. The Canadian international has had a very inconsistent season this year, and his performances have only been fluctuating. Perhaps some extra training with talents like Valentin Barco and Bobby De Cordova-Reid (who are also training there) under Coach Nic could be exactly what he needs.
Amidst the speculations and rumors of Davies signing for Real Madrid this summer, this extra training leads one to wonder what the Canadian is getting fit for — a fresh start to impress Real, or an effort to have a better season for Bayern’s title run.
