In incredibles news, it seems that Bayern Munich have signed sizzling Swedish sensation Zlatan Ibrahimović, who has come back from retirement one last time to help the Bavarian giants back to the top of the Bundesliga! Wait…hang on a second, that’s not right. It seems that the news is even better than it first seemed; Arijon Ibrahimović will be returning to Bavaria from Frosinone Calcio.
Having initially been loaned out for the season to the newly promoted Serie A side, who had a €3.5 million option to buy one of the highest rated youngsters in the Bayern academy, Ibrahimović struggled for game time, struggling to get onto the field during Frosinone’s relegation fight. Meanwhile, an epic last minute winner from relegation rivals Empoli saw them knock Frosinone down into Serie B. Whether the buy option is now too large or Frosinone simply did not believe Ibrahimovic was worth keeping around, it seems that they have decided to not exercise their option to buy, according to reporter Tobi Altschäffl and captured by @iMiaSanMia.
However, Altschäffl also reports that Bayern do not wish to loan Ibrahimovic again next season, instead desiring to keep him in and around the first team squad. Not just him, too; Adam Aznou, Javier Fernandez and Lovro Zvonarek are all apparently expected to “complement” the Bayern squad.
BFW Analysis
It seems very unlikely that Bayern have already decided to make the quartet a part of the Bayern squad. The aforementioned four could earn spots in the first team, but they would have to take their chance in pre season first, just like Josip Stanisić, Frans Krätzig and Aleksandar Pavlović did.
