Well, one club could be exiting from the race for Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich — Paris Saint-Germain:
Paris Saint-Germain could be out in the sweepstakes to land Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich. The Parisians have been linked to the veteran standout, but it seems that the German international has other plans for his future.
It was reported that Kimmich would’ve met with Bayern Munich’s board last month to discuss his future. Since the 29-year-old hasn’t made any progress on a new deal with the Bundesliga side, the club might have to consider selling him.
Sky Sports’ Kerry Hau reports that if Kimmich ever leaves Bayern Munich, he’d likely move to a top club such as Man City, Barcelona, Real Madrid, or maybe even Liverpool or Arsenal.
FC Barcelona still has its eyes on Manchester City star Bernardo Silva:
News Bernardo #Silva | Difficult to realize but the 29 y/o is a transfer target for @FCBarcelona this summer!
There’s a chance to get him but a lot of things have to happen. Hansi Flick has high regard for Silva.
Contract with ManCity valid until 2026.

There is a lot of moving and shaking going on at Bayern Munich and the German national team these days, which means there is a lot to talk about. This is what we have on tap for the latest edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show:
- Vincent Kompany wants to play a 4-4-2 (hmmm), sell some wingers (yeah!), and has six players targeted for five positions (Paris Saint-Germain’s Xavi Simons, Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah, FC Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong, VfB Stuttgart’s Chris Führich, VfB Stuttgart, Fulham’s João Palhinha, and Everton’s Amadou Onana). What does all of this mean? Let’s discuss.
- Are we in the final days of Joshua Kimmich being a player at Bayern Munich?
- Is Julian Nagelsmann’s loyalty to İlkay Gündoğan going to cost him…and the German national team?
- A little bit of the Entertainment Rundown.
The sticking point between Bayern Munich and Alphonso Davies remains the difference in what the club wants to pay vs. what the player wants to make:
According to Defensa Central, with the Canadian entering the penultimate year of his contract, the Bavarians are pressing him to renew but on their terms. Davies continues to demand a salary of €20 million gross, while Bayern Munich are hellbent on offering €13 million.
This vast difference in figures has created tension between the two parties, allowing Real Madrid to silently snoop on the sidelines as they wait for the perfect opportunity to pounce. And as per the report, Real Madrid are fully calm over the situation, knowing full well that all they must do is patiently bide their time.
After all, with still no progress being made between Davies and Bayern, the chances of Los Blancos picking up the treble-winner this summer continue to mount. Despite Davies being in the prime of his career and possessing a high valuation, Real Madrid are likely to grab the player at a discounted fee given that next year his contract will expire.
The 23-year-old full-back would prove to be a massive pick-up, especially as his overlapping profile will offer something unique to the team. Time will tell how the situation develops, but for now, Real Madrid are in the driving seat.
Hansi Flick might have identified someone to play the role of Thomas Müller at FC Barcelona:
Hansi Flick’s arrival as Barcelona’s head coach signals a new era with renewed ambitions. With the personnel at his disposal, it is exceedingly likely that the German manager will look to emulate many of his ideas from his successful stint at Bayern Munich.
One of the players who may benefit tremendously under his tutelage is the rising sensation, Fermin Lopez. In his debut season with the team, Fermin has scored an impressive 11 goals. In fact, no Barcelona midfielder has scored more goals than Fermin Lopez this season.
La Masia excels at producing nifty and elegant midfielders who allow the entire team to function. However, there has been a lack of attacking midfielders with high goalscoring potential who have broken into the first team.
Fermin’s rise might change that trend. After all, his attacking instincts set him apart from others, as he is at his best when closer to goal.
Flick utilized Muller as a right-sided midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 formation, but in truth, entrusted him with a great deal of freedom owing to the German’s innate ability to exploit space.
Muller was known to locate gaps in the defense, particularly when used as an attacking midfielder. However, he found space more frequently by venturing into half-spaces and taking advantage of lapses in concentration.
By wedging himself between center-backs, his darting runs allowed him to enter the opposition box with tons of freedom.
Germany swung and swung relentlessly at Ukraine, but the Ukrainian defense decided to honour their fellow countryman and recently crowned undisputed world heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk by maneuvering expertly around all the offense thrown at them with excellent blocks and weaves.
In this episode of the Postgame Show, Cyler (Rayyan) goes over the game, including:
- The starting XIs and general shape of both Germany and Ukraine.
- The tactical decisions made by head coach Julian Nagelsmann, namely those seemingly made to conserve the players.
- How Germany are beginning to break into the final third, but are failing to break through when in the final third.
- Some exciting individual performances from Maximilian Beier and Maximilian Mittelstädt.
- Some worrying individual performances from Kai Havertz and İlkay Gündoğan.
- The social dynamics of the team, and how Gündoğan’s captaincy is likely more important behind the scenes than on the pitch.
João Félix could be on the move…again. This time, to Manchester United:
Manchester United are ready to offer Atletico Madrid the chance to sign Mason Greenwood in a swap deal involving João Félix.
FC Barcelona boss Hansi Flick wants to keep João Cancelo in Catalonia:
Bayern Munich, usually a very well run club, is going through a dreadful transition period currently. Vincent Kompany has taken over as manager and things are not exactly rosy. We look at how Kompany’s time at Bayern might pan out, recent transfer rumors and more including:
- A video of Kompany berating players is rumored to be circulating among Bayern players — will this help or hurt Kompany?
- Will many players leave Bayern Munich ahead of the next season?
- Does Bayern Munich really need to be rebuilt?
- Are the expectations for Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany too high?
- What will be considered a successful European championship tournament for Germany?
- Should Leroy Sané’s contract be extended?
- A few thoughts on Borussia Dortmund’s defeat in the UEFA Champions League final.
