Inter Miami has an absurd amount of talent for an MLS club, and the idea of adding Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane to a squad that already contains Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets is sickening.
Top players moving from Europe to Major League Soccer at the end of their careers is not a new concept, but Harry Kane is not by any means at the end of his career. This is a player who only a year ago Bayern paid a fee in the realm of 100 million Euros for and scored 36 league goals in the following season. Where are these rumors of a move to the United States even coming from?
Inter Miami News cited former England head coach Harry Redknapp who believes that a move away from Munich after he wins silverware is the logical next step for the player:
Money is not going to be the key for him any more. But a big pay day at the end of his career to America and Miami, go and play for Beckham’s team or somewhere, doesn’t sound too shabby does it? It sounds like quite a good idea.
Additionally, in an interview with ESPN, Kane stated his desire to play alongside Messi, stating “I’d love to play with Messi. One of the greatest players to ever play our game, so I’m sure he would be able to give me a few assists, for sure.”
Will Kane find his way to the US in the future? Possibly, but it seems unlikely to happen at a time when the player is still good enough to be at Bayern.
