According to a report from Abendzeitung journalist Maximilian Koch, Bayern Munich bosses could be hesitating on offering Joshua Kimmich a new contract.
The Germany international would like to stay at the club and could even take a pay cut to do so, but this situation might not reach a conclusion until after the EURO 2024 tournament:
Joshua Kimmich’s preference is to stay at Bayern, provided he feels the trust of the club and an agreement can be reached on the salary (Kimmich currently earns €20m/year). However, Bayern bosses are hesitating. At the moment, there are no offers from any club. A final decision is not expected until after the EUROs.
The new regime in the front office seems to have a plan, but does it include Kimmich? We should find out in the coming weeks.
