Manchester City and Argentina legend Sergio Agüero is keeping a close eye on the EURO 2024 competition and is expecting big things from Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala.
Speaking to Stake.com, Agüero targeted Musiala and Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz as two of the players to watch for the tourney.
“I think there’s a good number of players who could have a major role. There’s plenty of talent to go around, it’ll be nice to see. Phil Foden, Jamal Musiala, Florian Wirtz, Lamine Yamal and Jeremy Doku are the players to look out for. Young players with a bright future ahead, we’ll have to keep a close eye on them,” Agüero said.
As for who might finish as the top scorer Agüero thinks Kane has a good chance to win the Golden Boot.
“The countries that get to late stages will surely be the home of the top scorer. I think Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappé should be kept on the radar though. They are major players who can make their scoring capabilities known in major matches,” said Agüero.
