After the Amazon Prime documentary series put out Die Mannschaft’s disappointing World Cup 2022 campaign in 4K, the German football association (DFB) is saying no more. Bayern Munich may be FC Hollywood, but the German men’s national team will not be:

The DFB have rejected lucrative offers from streaming providers to film a documentary about the national team during the Euros in Germany. After the ‘All or nothing’ documentary had become a symbol of the team’s failure in Qatar and because the DFB had no say in which scenes could be used and which could not, they decided in agreement with the players to reject all approaches for another documentary this summer [@BILD]
This might be for the best for head coach Julian Nagelsmann and his squad. From awkward half-time tactics talks to players showing up late to meetings, it was not exactly anyone’s finest hour, least of all Nagelsmann’s predecessor Hansi Flick. Maybe now without the cameras, the Germans can flock together — off the memes and on the field.
