Bayern Munich’s pursuit for a left-footed center-back has been made very clear this season, and the latest target is Premier League club Chelsea FC’s defensive stalwart Levi Colwill.
A report by Sky’s Florian Plettenberg insinuates that there might Colwill might be interested in such a move, and there is some truth to all the rumors:
Levi Colwill would be open to joining Bayern as soon as the interest becomes concrete. Chelsea are unwilling to let him go at this stage. Bayern’s pursuit of Colwill has gone cold at the moment due to the potential high fee involved, but the Englishman remains on the shortlist. A lot could still happen depending on the negotiations with Leverkusen for Jonathan Tah. (via @iMiaSanMia)
Bayern’s interest in replacing one of its current center-backs with Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah has also been quite well-documented, so the idea of Levi Colwill certainly seems like a far better option. The question remains how much Bayern are willing to shell out…
