Who doesn’t love some men in pink. Germany’s new EURO 2024 away kit — hot pink lathered over deep purple — is flying off the shelves and breaking records. Combined with a fire home kit, this year’s tournament hosts are set to look sharp in every match they play.
From The Athletic, captured via @iMiaSanMia:
Germany’s new pink kit has become the fastest-selling away shirt in the national team’s history. The DFB has confirmed the kit has broken the record for the most away shirts sold in history from when it went on release until the start of the European Championship [@TheAthleticFC]
The hosts are off to a flying start under Julian Nagelsmann, having won Friday’s tournament opener 5-1 over a hapless Scotland side. They will look to double the feat and book a ticket into the knockout stages with another strong performance against Hungary on Wednesday, June 19th, at 12PM EDT at the MHPArena in Stuttgart.
If you are looking for Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala, Joshua Kimmich, Leroy Sané, and the rest of the Germany stars to flash the pink drip, that will be your chance in the group stages:
The final group stage match against Switzerland — technically an ‘away’ game — will feature the home kits in white. That match is set to take place on Sunday, June 23, at 3PM Eastern time, at the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt.
editor’s note: Thanks to TeddySonMaverick for the correction about which game would feature which kit!
