Jamal Musiala is running riot at EURO 2024. Bambi, Moose, whatever you want to call him — the 21-year-old attacking midfielder has two goals in two games for Germany and is dazzling with every touch on the pitch.
Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann — who also coached Musiala previously at Bayern Munich — is totally impressed. And he knows just what Musiala needs to keep doing to keep lifting his team over the line.
“He did brilliantly in both games, not only the two goals but every situation in our offensive possession is tough for the opponent to defend,” Nagelsmann said after Germany’s 2-0 win over Hungary on Wednesday, in comments captured by @iMiaSanMia. “It’s important for him not to think about the pressure, to just use his capability to solve his offensive 1-v-1 situations.
“He should just play like he’s on a small pitch anywhere in Germany or England, it doesn’t matter. He should just play football with his friends. He shouldn’t think about the pressure, he’s just brilliant at playing football.”
