While Germany is away at EURO 2024, Bayern Munich’s front office is still busy preparing for an eventful summer transfer window. New coach Vincent Kompany is set to take the reigns, and as ever, German outlet Sport Bild claims to have the inside scoop on the bosses’ transfer wishes.
Reportedly, that is set to include two forwards. Via @iMiaSanMia:
In attack, Bayern are looking for a ‘flexible attacker’ and a striker this summer. [VfB Stuttgart forward] Serhou Guirassy has supporters at the club, but the majority is not in favour of the signing [@altobelli13, @cfbayern]
Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise looks like he will be one of those players. Could Guirassy be the other? The 28-year-old scored a remarkable 28 goals in 28 league games last season for third-place Stuttgart, rivaling Bayern’s own Harry Kane in the early going. Kane would finish with 36.
Planning will be complicated by the fact that many stars are at either the European Championships or Copa América for the coming weeks. Guirassy, however, is not among the French contingent led by Didier Deschamps.
Guirassy has also been linked to Chelsea FC.
