Though not official yet, Bayern Munich might have pulled off their second surprise signing of the offseason, hijacking Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise from Chelsea FC’s grasp. After Hiroki Ito, the Bavarians have managed to get a deal done without the media picking it up. Now, he’s expected to link up with his France teammates and play at this year’s edition of the Olympics in Paris:
Michael Olise is very motivated to take part in the Olympics this summer. The expectation is for Bayern to allow him to go to the tournament at his request.

If Bayern do release Olise for the Olympics, this goes the complete opposite direction of what they did with Mathys Tel. The Rekordmeister has prevented Tel from going to the Olympics at least twice since he moved to Germany. Although the 19-year-old has not complained about the matter, it can be somewhat deflating.
