Sacha Boey and Bryan Zaragoza have made a fairly inconspicuous start to their Bayern Munich careers, it must be said. Joining Bayern with the hope that they could revitalize a flagging and tired squad, both failed to live up to those expectations in their first six months in a Bayern shirt due to fitness and form concerns.
However, new coach Vincent Kompany is set to give them another chance, according to Kicker’s Frank Linkesh, as captured by @iMiaSanMia:
January signings Sacha Boey and Bryan Zaragoza are expected to get a new chance under Vincent Kompany. The Belgian coach knows Boey, appreciates his qualities and had previously wanted to sign him for Burnley. The people in charge also believe he can prove that he’s Bayern level. As for Zaragoza, after a 6-month integration period, he’s now set to take the next step at Bayern. The Spaniard is in the club’s plans and is currently not a candidate for sale or loan. Internally, it is said that he’s a player who needs to feel trust to perform.
Both will need to step up as Bayern looks to put their rebuild into overdrive.
