Bayern Munich and Germany attacker Jamal Musiala has been the teammate of Leroy Sané long enough to know that the mercurial winger can get red hot at a moment’s notice.
While it has not happened yet, Musiala is expecting to see Sané break through in this tournament soon.
“I have complete confidence in Leroy. I know what he can do when he feels comfortable. He will be ready to play in the knockout stage. We saw what qualities he has last season at Bayern,” Musiala told Abendzeitung’s Maximilian Kock (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Sané’s chances to make an impact are somewhat limited by Musiala — along with Florian Wirtz and İlkay Gündoğan. So far, the 28-year-old has been somewhat sloppy and indecisive. Like Musiala, Germany fans know that can all change quickly for Sané…he will just need the opportunity to show it.
