Germany won 2-0 as Bayern Munich maestro Jamal Musiala added to Kai Havertz’s penalty when he latched onto a beautiful pass from Nico Schlotterbeck and slotted it past Kasper Schmeichel to secure a passage to the Round of 16 past Denmark in UEFA EURO 2024. Germany had a few nervy moments at the back but Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger and Manuel Neuer made sure that Germany secured a passage to the last eight where they will play the winner of Spain vs. Georgia.
He was rewarded with the Player of the Match award for his efforts:
Spain has had a perfect start to the tournament with three wins out of three while Georgia has had a miraculous run so far, coming out of a tough group consisting of Portugal, Czechia and Türkiye. Georgia beat Portugal to get to this stage and would be a tough contest for Germany. Spain has been considered the best team of the tournament so far with some brilliant displays against Italy, Croatia and Albania.
Will Germany’s tournament successes continue?
