Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala has developed a reputation as a dribbling wizard on the pitch. The next evolution in his game will come in the form of scoring wonder goals. Throughout his career, Musiala has consistently shown the capacity to score in consecutive games, and EURO 2024 has been no different.
After scoring in the group stage against Scotland & Hungary, Musiala delivered a brilliant breakaway goal in the Round of 16 against Denmark. This particular goal made him the second youngest player to score three goals in a EURO career, only behind the legendary Wayne Rooney.
3 – Jamal Musiala scored his third goal at a European Championship aged 21 years, 4 months and 3 days – in the history of the Euro’s, only England’s Wayne Rooney achieved this feat at an even younger age (18 years, 7 months, 28 days at the Euro 2004). Diamond. #EURO2024 pic.twitter.com/wQzoAGCRwg

After scoring two goals in EURO 2020 (played in 2021), Kai Havertz has found another pair of goals in EURO 2024. While Havertz’s play hasn’t exactly been stellar this competition, he has converted both of his penalty kick opportunities. This ties him for third in the pantheon of great German attackers. Miroslav Klose, the all-time leading World Cup goal scorer (16), somehow only scored three EURO goals during his career of 13 EURO matches.
4 – Kai Havertz scored his fourth goal for Germany at a European Championship today – only Jürgen Klinsmann and Mario Gomez have scored more goals at EURO tournaments for Germany (5 each). Accurate. #EURO2024 pic.twitter.com/LThaLtpzIf
