In a recent interview with The Athletic’s Stuart James, wonderkid Jamal Musiala revealed his relationship with Bayern Munich teammate Harry Kane. The young German was full of praise for the English hitman and even revealed that he looked to him for advice.
“I’m learning a lot from him. I think, over the season, I had a couple of injuries and it killed the rhythm a little bit. But I think the connection is there and it will be even better next season. I always ask him about his mindset and, as we’ve seen from training, the way he strikes the ball,” said Musiala (via @iMiaSanMia)
It’s no surprise then that his shooting has slowly gotten better — and hopefully, it is something that fans will notice at the EUROs. The sky remains the limit for Musiala if he improves his shooting and builds an elite mentality reminiscent of Kane’s.
Kane’s influence as a footballer seems to surpass the pitch. As for the pair’s link-up, as Musiala said — there is much more to come over the next few seasons. Fans can’t wait.
