Hanna Bennison has completed a move to Juventus, ending an almost three year tenure with Everton Women.
The midfielder’s switch to the Italian giants follows the departures of veteran striker Toni Duggan, as well as Eleanor Dale and Academy graduate Annie Wilding.
Losing Bennison will be a tough one to take for the Blues, though.
Arriving on Merseyside in the summer of 2021, the former Rosengård star was named the Toffees Young Player of the Season in her inaugural campaign. At the age of 18, she won a silver medal in the Olympics in Tokyo and the starlet was later named Goal’s NXGN Award for the best young female footballer in the world at the time.
At just 21, Sweden international has been capped 37 times by her country, featuring in over half of the seven games in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup as the Swedes reached the last four of the competition.
Bennison’s departure will see the centre of midfield become a priority for Brian Sorensen, with Kathrine Kuhl returning to parent club Arsenal following the conclusion of her loan period with the Blues.
Everton have secured a few stars to new deals though, with goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan and defender Elise Stenevik both extended their stays till June 2026.
Also extending her future with the Toffees for another two years is Dutch forward, and the Toffees leading scorer in back-to-back season, Katja Snoeijs.
