Michael Olise has arrived for his medical at Bayern Munich, as his transfer from Crystal Palace nears completion.
His arrival at the Allianz Arena marks the near-end of a protracted transfer saga that has suffered setbacks since it started in June.
Olise, 22, will reportedly cost Bayern £49.5million and is set to become an integral part of new boss Vincent Kompany‘s first-team plans.
Kompany has been tasked with returning the German giants to Bundesliga dominance, after being toppled by Xabi Alonso‘s Bayer Leverkusen last season.
The pacy winger can provide Bayern with an incisiveness from the flanks, and importantly, the service star striker Harry Kane needs from their forward line.

It has been reported Olise will take home an estimated £220,000 a week in wages at Bayern, which is more than double his current wage at Palace.
Palace had been willing to offer Olise a new deal to stay but the lure of Champions League football proved too much to contend with.
Manchester United have admired him but have not been in the financial position to pursue the star.
Olise joined Palace from Reading in 2021, stepping up from the Championship to the Premier League.
In his three years at Palace he has become a fan favourite and one of their star attacking talents alongside England’s Eberechi Eze and was key to their upturn in form in 2024.
The winger scored 10 goals last season – the best haul of his career – and recorded six assists as Oliver Glasner took over as manager from Roy Hodgson.
He signed a new contract last August on a bumper £100,000 per week after rejecting Chelsea’s approaches, with the Blues thinking they had secured his services after activating his then-release clause.
However, with the youngster the subject of ferocious interest from top Premier League sides and European giants, it was always going to be difficult to hang on to him this summer.
Olise impressed under Oliver Glasner at Palace but was lured by Champions League football
Palace manager Oliver Glasner had admitted he was unsure whether Olise and team-mate Eberechi Eze would remain at the club beyond this summer.
‘It’s the job of the club to keep all the players,’ Glasner said after Palace’s thumping victory against Manchester United. ‘I know they’ll try everything possible.
‘You never know how your squad will look when the next season starts. They’re amazing players, this is an amazing group.’
On the two forwards, Palace defender Joachim Andersen added: ‘I’ll be praying the whole summer for them to stay, maybe send them a few messages.’
