England have been dealt a big blow ahead of our Euro 2024 clash with Holland on Wednesday night, and the West Ham fans will know all about it.
Gareth Southgate has guided his England side to the semi-finals of Euro 2024, where a clash with Holland awaits us, and the whole nation is waiting with bated breath for the 8pm kick-off at the Signal Iduna Stadium.
The West Ham fans will be hoping that Jarrod Bowen is given a chance by Southgate against the Dutch, although I personally won’t be holding my breath.
England haven’t been great at all out in Germany this summer, but the players have found a way to make it to the final four.
Two more wins and we will be European champions for the first time, but we all know how more more work needs to be done for that to be possible.
And the latest update coming out of UEFA headquarters will not make England’s task any easier, that’s for sure.
England should be very concerned after Euro 2024 announcement
The Three Lions face our most important game since 2021, when we lost to Italy in the Euro 2020 final at Wembley.
The England fans are starting to believe. We seem to be in a really strong position to win our first major trophy for 58 years.
However, the Three Lions camp should be really concerned at the latest official Euro 2024 announcement.
That’s because Felix Zwayer has been officially confirmed as the referee for the huge Euro 2024 clash in Dortmund on Wednesday night, via UEFA’s website.
The West Ham fans will know all about Zwayer, after his horrendous performance during our Europa League clash with Lyon back in 2022.
The German referee received criticism from fans and pundits alike, after he made the shocking decision to send off Aaron Cresswell.
The German’s antics at the London Stadium that night were truly embarrassing to witness – how he is an elite level referee absolutely blows my mind.
From the very first whistle, it was clear that the German wanted to be the centre of attention, as chants of ‘Are you Mike Dean in disguise’ rang around the London Stadium.
The hapless German blew up at every opportunity and awarded Lyon free-kicks time and time again in spite of their players’ obvious play-acting.
His awful display culminated with his decision to give Cresswell his marching orders. In my view, he shouldn’t be anywhere near a Europa League game, let alone the England vs Holland Euro 2024 semi-final!
The England fans should be very concerned at the prospect of Zwayer officiating the game against the Dutch on Wednesday.
Just ask any West Ham fan you know, and they’ll tell you just how bad the German really is.
