Mason Greenwood is not training with Man United, as he looks to seal an exit from the Red Devils.
Manchester United Football Club are believed to have limited funds this summer, with Erik ten Hag trying to bolster his transfer kitty through player sales.
The Old Trafford side have some big-name candidates whose names are on the chopping block, with Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood sitting at the front of that queue.
The latter spent the 2022/23 season with Spanish side Getafe, having a decent season by all accounts upon his return to football after a spell away due to legal issues.
Greenwood had been spotted working hard in Manchester this pre-season, fueling rumours of a potential Reds return. Well, those talks have since been quashed by journalist Alex Crook.
According to the talkSPORT man, the United star is ‘not training with United as he looks to finalise a move away.
Greenwood was at Carrington briefly for talks with the United hierarchy, though he will not be returning.
Marseille appear to be the frontrunners, though other overseas clubs are also keen.
United prefer a flat out sale this summer rather than a loan.

As reported on @talkSPORT this morning Mason Greenwood is not training with #MUFC as he tries to finalise a move away. Was at Carrington briefly for talks with the hierarchy. Marseille advancing in negotiations but other overseas clubs at the table. United prefer a permanent deal

With his contract winding down, his value will only decrease. United would prefer to sell Greenwood now, particularly after he looked good enough for Getafe last term.
There will be plenty of parties interested in taking the United attacker, so let’s hope a bidding war will follow and the price will drive up.
It’s clear that there is no way back for Greenwood at Old Trafford. Sell him now. Be free of the headache and allow the player to focus on his football elsewhere. It’s the best outcome for all involved as there’s no way he’ll ever be welcomed back to English football.
