Bayern Munich President Herbert Hainer has been in reflective mood lately and spoke about the relationship between the club and its fans per @iMiaSanMia.
“One of the best days of my life was when the members of FC Bayern elected me president. I am extremely grateful for that, I was used to stand in the fan block as a young guy and I see it as a big obligation that we all do everything we can to ensure that FC Bayern brings joy to its fans — on and off the pitch,” said Hainer. “In the last twelve months we have gained over 30,000 new members, more than ever before in such a period, and that despite the fact that we have not been able to celebrate the sporting success of previous years. 360,000 members are proof that our club is doing a lot of things right overall. All fans can be proud of that.”
It is quite incredible to see that Bayern continues gaining new members despite having an off-year. The relationship between Bayern Munich and its fans clearly extends beyond the pitch and it is wonderful to see! Hopefully, Hainer and co. will make sporting decisions to make the club successful once more (and to win Harry Kane a trophy!).
