According to multiple reports, Bayern Munich has put several of the clubs highest earners on the transfer list this season. If one believes those reports, the likes of Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman… and Noussair Mazraoui are available to be bought this season. While the others are said to be earning potentially over 15 million a year, the former Ajax player’s wages seem comparatively low at 8 million per year. Yet reporters continue to insist that Bayern are willing to let the Moroccan go.
The latest report in that ilk comes from Sébastien Denis and Hanif Ben Berkane, as captured by @iMiaSanMia, which claims that Mazraoui and Bayern are currently concretely discussing the future. The tendency is towards “a separation this summer”. Several clubs have enquired about the 2022 World Cup semifinalist, though the report does not deign to mention any names.
After two years of many injuries and consistently fighting his way back into the first team, perhaps this is one fight Mazraoui cannot win. The abundance of right backs at the club in Kimmich, Josip Stanišić and Sacha Boey might leave Mazraoui as the odd man out and the easiest one to offload in the eyes of the club.
