Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović had a number of achievements this season.
Aside of making his first team debut, getting his first start, scoring his first goal, and getting his first German national team call-up, the youngster also experienced his first major disappointment at the senior team level — missing out on winning a trophy.
“Obviously, it’s very tough that we didn’t win a title. But for me personally, despite everything, it was a year in which I got a lot of playing time and was able to show what I’m capable of,” Pavlović told Säbener51 (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Pavlović did take a second to recall that first start and how he was feeling at the moment.
“The score was 0-0 at half time. I was pretty sure at that point it wasn’t going to be my debut today. Then I saw how the score was getting higher and higher. I was hoping: Please, please, please, just bring me on. Standing there and then coming on, I can hardly put this feeling into words. I’ve been a Bayern fan my whole life, I’ve played for this club my whole life,” said Pavlović of his debut against SV Darmstadt 98.
